Iran, So Far Away...

There are amazing, world changing things going on in Iran right now. Since the sham of an election on Friday, the people of Iran have started a revolution. People are dying.

Where is CNN? Fox News? There is hardly any coverage! It's embarrassing and frustrating. What's going on there, right now, is equal to the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989! CNN was all over that! Even on CNN International the true importance of the events in Iran is being downplayed, despite being the 'top of the hour' story.

If you want to get a better feel for what's going on over there, you have to (literally, have to) check out Andrew Sullivan's blog over at The Atlantic. He's compiling Twitter feeds from Iranians, YouTube Videos, and keeping track of actual reporting of the events taking place there right now.

The Government of Iran has been sporadically shutting down the internet and SMS messaging. There have been Denial of Service attacks on many of the legitimate news services that they haven't pulled the plug on-- even Sullivan's blog has been targeted!!
